The End of the World
Aṅguttara Nikāya 60 (IV, 45)
A deva asks the Buddha if one can reach the end of the world by going? Can you reach a place where one is not born, does not die or be reborn?
The Buddha answers that no, you can’t, but you can reach that place ‘in this fathom long body’. It is only by reaching ’the end of the world’ that final release is found.
