The Eight Winds
Aṅguttara Nikāya 153 (VIII, 6)
There are eight worldly conditions that arise and disappear. One should not be elated or cast down when the come and go. The eight are:
- gain and loss
- fame and disrepute
- praise and blame
- pleasure and pain
